The manufacturer gives no explanation for any of these numbers on its own. Three support articles put them all under electronic board or software error, and what differs is the instruction. Pick the list holding your code and do what it says.
List 1: modular cooktop
Codes: F13, F12, F11, F9, F8, F7, F6, F5, F4, EX09, EX08, EX07, EX06, EX04, EX03.
Instruction: none for owners. The article’s answer is to book a service repair.
List 2: full-surface induction cooktop
Codes: Er66, Er65, Er63, Er61, Er58, Er47, Er35, Er31, Er22, Er21, Er13, EE, Ed, EC, Eb, E7.
Instruction: disconnect the cooktop at the power supply, leave it for 1 minute and switch it on. A repair should be booked if the code appears again.
List 3: freestanding cooker
Codes: E31, E22, E20, E6, E5, A201, A401, ADC, Er50, F634, F615, F613, F610, F608, F603, F428, F427, F418, F404, F403, F226, F218, F212, F211, F204, F203, F199, F198, F196, F194, F193, F105, F104, F103, F102, F101.
Instruction: allow the cooling fans to stop and the oven to become completely cool. Then cut the power supply for 30 seconds and switch on. If the code returns, a repair is the next step.
The reason cookers get stricter instructions
For cookers, the article states not to turn off the power supply unless told to, since doing it while the oven is too hot can harm the oven and the cabinets around it. Certain codes need a complete cool-down before power is taken away so the electronics can cool as well. A wait is free, and skipping it is not.
Limits of what you can judge
- No article names a failed part for any code here, so do not assume a number points to a particular element, board or sensor.
- Do not open the appliance.
- For a service call, bring the exact code, when it first appeared, and whether a reset made any difference.
Related pages
- E4 and E1 are board errors in some articles too, but have pages of their own.
- F213 to F216 and E36 are a separate sensor group that partly overlaps with F215 and F216.
